The Oil Lab

Four Things to Check on Any Oil Label

Whatever brand you buy, these four checks take thirty seconds and tell you far more than the front of the bottle.

1

Oil name and blend

Is it one oil or a blend? Blends should name each oil.

2

Batch and dates

Look for a batch code, packing date and best-before date.

3

Proof you can see

Can you read a lab report for your batch? Nakulya packs carry a QR for this.

4

Storage advice

Keep oil away from light and heat, and use it within the time stated once opened.

Your Kitchen, Measured

The Oil Meter

Most of us have never measured how much oil our kitchen uses. Find your number in two minutes. No sign-up needed.

Tip: note how many days a 1 litre bottle lasts in your kitchen, then work out the monthly litres.

Your kitchen uses about

0 ml

per person, per day, about 0 teaspoons

That is 0 litres a year, or 0 one-litre bottles.

The Oil Meter is an awareness tool and not medical or dietary advice. For personal guidance, please ask your doctor or dietitian. Join the Club to save your number and see how it changes.
